911 House signs-Forms Here

It is important that an emergency vehicle can find you when you are in need. You can get an official green 911 Emergency House sign for $20.00 (price includes brackets) at the Township Center. Just come in or send your $20 along with your name, address and phone number to Chikaming Township Center, 13535 Red Arrow Highway, P.O. Box 40, Harbert, MI 49115. Be sure to write the numbers you want on the sign in large print on your request and indicate whether you want a vertical or horizontal sign. We will call you when your sign is ready.

The Alarm Ordinance

Info on the ordinance can be found here, and permit applications here.

How to register your alarm system: You need to come into the Police Department and fill out the form and pay your fee. At that time you will receive a sticker for your window. Also, if you have a false alarm, you will be notified of the need to register your alarm and the fine if you fail to do so.

Police department information

Our police department is not staffed after hours or on the holidays, or weekends, with office personnel to answer the phone. Please understand our officers are out on patrol and not in the office to answer telephone calls after hours or on the weekends. If you call the office and leave a message for the on-duty police officer, please understand it may be hours before an officer returns your telephone call.
